This is my first time to participate in Writer's Workshop at Mama's Losin' It. I chose to write for the Top 10 Pet Peeves prompt. I figured it was just a list and I'm in the middle of Nano (I'm on track with my word count at 8463 words)
Top 10 Pet Peeves
10. Trash that gets left on the floor next to the trashcan.
9. Repetitive music on video games
8. Smudged lenses on glasses
7. Chicken that doesn't get done in the time the recipe calls for
6. Walmart not carrying their brand of chocolate chips now that we're entering baking season
5. Bad directions (and getting lost as a result)
4. Broccoli crumbs in the bottom of the frozen broccoli bag
3. Telemarketer/credit card/political phone calls
2. Being interrupted while reading the end of a really good book

Oh fun, I think I may do this for my post today, too!
Congrats on being on track with NaNo. I went to a write-in last night and got myself in better shape. I'm just barely on track (well, I'm looking pretty good with a word count of almost 11k, but that's because I have to be done by 11/25 instead of 11/30...)

I like your list. Your the only person so far that HASN'T mentioned drivers.
Clean and simple list. I like your style. Didn't you just love this prompt. Mama Kat really outdid herself with this one.
I was with you for 8 out of 10. You whining - juries out, I have no real evidence. But the one that left me scratching my head was the broccoli crumb peeve. What gives here (I ask myself)? Am I missing something important here? Isn't that what the compost bin is for?
Okay, most of those things bug me too! I laughed at the 'Walmart being out of chocolate chips'. One of my biggest pet peeves is 'Walmart being out of MOST EVERYTHING I NEED, SO WHY THE CRAP DID I DRIVE ALL THIS WAY FOR NOTHING?' hahaha... I HATE WALMART! ;) Have you made the potato cheese soup yet? I hope you like it! Come check out my family's blog too.
